DESCRIPTION

The Water Resources Center is a multicampus research unit charged with stimulating and coordinating research and information dissemination on water. Its mission is one that encompasses virtually all water and water-related issues. It is also designated as the state's federal Water Resources Research Institute. The Center does not undertake research directly but supports through its competitive grants program an annual portfolio of approximately thirty-five projects yearly.

SERVICE AND ACTIVITIES

The Water Resources Center Archives is a special collection of water and water-related documents/publications of more than 122,000 titles. The Water Resources Center publishes and distributes research that is peer-reviewed in its Contribution Series as well as conference proceedings and other reports. The Center also publishes a Directory of Water and Wildland Expertise in the UC system, the CSU system, and state/Federal system. The Center also co-sponsors conferences including the Biennial Ground Water Conference and the Biennial Watershed Management Conference
