DESCRIPTION

The CUWCC is responsible for assisting with and monitoring the progress of urban water conservation best management practices by urban water agencies in California.

The mission of the California Urban Water Conservation Council is to increase efficient water use statewide through partnerships among urban water agencies, public interest organizations, and private entities, and to integrate urban water conservation Best Management Practices into the planning and management of California's water resources.

SERVICE AND ACTIVITIES

1. sponsor and fund water-conservation-related research
2. monitor implementation of water conservation BMPs
3. provide outreach and education to urban water agencies regarding urban water conservation measures and programs
