DESCRIPTION

Mission : a promote understanding of water resources and related issues by providing a multidisciplinary forum for information exchange, professional development and education. AWPA is a not-for-profit scientific, educational association which was established in 1964. Membership is international ( individuals, corporations and institutions, local, state, federal and private.)

SERVICE AND ACTIVITIES

The AWRA offers a number of membership levels. It publishes a peer-reviewed scientific journal ("Water Resources Bulletin ") bi- monthly and a bi-monthly newsletter ("Hydata-News and Views"_. AWRA holds conferences and symposia twice yearly, the proceedings of which are published (symposia only). There are Technical Working Groups providing a focus for specific interests and Committees to help shape the future of the AWRA. AWRA sponsors short courses and other publications.
